Look, I know I’m in the minority here, but really, more people should tell it like it is. Sugarcoating shit doesn’t really make things better for anyone except for the sugarcoater, who gets the satisfaction of believing they’re not hurting anybody’s feelings.

So, let’s all try something different, for a fucking change: Next time you feel something, just tell it like it is. It might hurt the other person a bit, but at least you’ll be honest and your honesty will be appreciated in the long run, if not immediately. I always appreciate people being straight with me, and I’m straight with others too, mostly because I feel like it’s a sign of respect, but partly because keeping up lies is tough work.
