seriously.
How fucking hard is it to give a decent manicure? Before coming back to PR, I had my favorite nails place in Boston where friendly, quiet Vietnamese women would give me amazing mani/pedis for $35. I was in love. I even had a favorite manicurist there. I gave them awesome tips. I went every two weeks, and it was like my stress-relief therapy.
But since I came to PR, I’ve tried like 4 different places with no success. They’re overpaid and do a crappy job. They’re rough, they paint outside the nails, everything. They suck. I had a manicure today and the lady cut me with the cuticle clippers. Seriously, that is fucked up. And she painted my nails so terribly, I had to redo them when I got back.
If I’m going to pay $20 for a fucking manicure that takes no more than 15 minutes, it better be well done. Jeez!
